Schumann joined The Commons just as he was starting a new role to drive more impact from day 1. He had just pivoted into his first Finance role in tech, joining a Series C software company as a Senior Financial Analyst. Prior to his pivot into tech, Schumann had worked in financial analyst roles across banks, transportation and entertainment.
By the time Michael joined The Commons, he was already working at a tech company - a market leader in the digital sports and entertainment industry. Prior to making his move into tech, Michael spent a number of years working in data analytics and FP&A at Liberty Mutual Insurance. He joined the Strategic Finance Sprint to hone in on his technical, analytical and presentation skills and drive more impact on-the-job.
Nicole was working as a Senior Business Analyst at a bank when she joined The Commons, looking to build her core competencies and drive towards a promotion. Through the Strategic Finance Sprint, she was able to learn new skills that were applicable to her to “real life” by “focusing less on the actual numbers and more on your thought process and justification.” Shortly after her Sprint wrapped, she landed a promotion to Manager.
